Named after the 2nd Earl Grey, British Prime Minister in the 1830s who reputedly received a gift of tea flavoured with Bergamot oil. Earl Grey tea is a tea with a distinctive flavor and aroma reminiscent of the oil of the Bergamot Orange, a fragrant Citrus fruit. This stately tea may be taken with or without milk and sugar and is best accompanied with savoury food.
